Hey, it's an easy mistake to make. Both Gran Turismo: HD and Project Gotham Racing 3 feature fierce and fancy cars hurtling about lavishly rendered tracks -- for all intents and purposes, the two games are identical. Of course, our amazingly trained eyes immediately noticed the bizarre appearance of a PGR3 render on the Sony PSP Connect website, innocently advertising a new downloadable GT:HD trailer.
"That's not true HD!" we exclaimed, index fingers twirling in the air. "Anyone with barely functioning eyes can see that's an image from a graphically inferior competitor!" We ended off with a resounding "HMPH!" before navigating to the next amusing, albeit inconsequential piece of news.

Yeah, probably some low-level web developer. You know, this clearly isn't a decision Sony made, it's obviously a mistake made by one of their web guys, but how does stuff like this keep happening to them? Like the mistake over their controller winning that award. It wasn't their fault, just some miscommunication. But somehow, even when they [corporate] aren't making wild claims and making news themselves, something like this happens and they still get bad press.

BTW I own a PS3 with GT HD and a 360 with PGR3 both hooked up to a SONY 60" SXRD and would like to tell you to take your BS fanboy crap somewhere else. GT HD has all the jaggies of PGR3 but not the HDR lighting or amount of cars on the track at the same time. But hey, at least you have those brown eyes...

GT HD doesn't have HDR? lol And you say you have a PS3 with GT HD? Sure you do... It has HDR AND bloom pass. Not only that but runs at 1080p and 60fps while PGR runs BELOW 720p at 30fps...
PGR3 is MILES behind GT HD, sure it has more cars, but GT HD is just a preview, not a full game...
Here's the HDR that GT HD doesn't have...

Congratulations on closing out January 2007 with a bang! Our site traffic has gone through the roof with unprecedented buzz about the new Gran Turismo HD videos. Thanks for everyone's hard work on reinforcing just what the PayStation brand really means to our endless supply of disposable fans.
In other news, we have a new opening in the web graphics department. Experienced candidates should be well versed with the rights usage of stock photography.

HAHAHAHAHAHAH!
Plus their commercials suck in every country they're in. Wow. The SONY PR Firm has some lazy ass people working for them.

HDR and Bloom are two different methods for creating the same effect. Using both would be a blatant waste of system resources for no other purpose than to brag about how "powerful" your system is, which sounds exactly like something Sony would do.
Also, keep in mind that PGR3 was a rushed port to 360 from Xbox 1 source code, and GT:HD is not actually 1080p @ 60FPS.

Yes I do have it and the lighting is horrible. Maybe it has HDR in the replays but it sure doesnt seem so when playing regular. I like how you bring up the FUD about below 720p etc though.
IF you would like to pay me for my time I will gladly take pictures for you to prove I have a PS3, a 360, and while were at it both of my 60" SXRDs, my Jaguar, my Channel F, my 7800, my NEO GEO, and whatever else you want to see from my extensive collection dating bak to the 70s. I'm sorry your fanboy dreams have been crushed by someone eho owns all of the consoles has has the proper hardware to use them on as well.
Simply put, GT HD is very disappointing... unlike Motorstorm. Get over it.

On the other hand... someone take the gun out of Sony's hand before they don't even have a foot left to shoot. After the step forward of fixing the ps2 problems, they do something like this?

However, Forza 2 will wipe them both off the floor, much like the last one did.

Oh and for the record, you DON'T own a PS3. If you did you would know what you were talking about...
Saying you do is easy. I have all the systems that ever came out. See? Easy!

Lawyers are getting hard ons all over the U.S. on this one.

First they were advertising the Wii version of MS Anthology, now this? Maybe Sony's backing this whole 'Wii60' thing and just isn't telling us.

Did someone at Sony push the "auto destruct" button a while ago?
I

Keep posting your PS3 FUD on here, Kotaku etc. It won't matter. I guess my name, Bloo_Sundae, on the GTHD time trial leaderboards mean I don't own a PS3 LOL. Put me on your "friends" list while you're at it and I'll hit you back. Want my 360 gamertag too? How about my Wii and DS friend codes. I'm an example of a gaming fan while you are an example of a Sony fan. It's sad and it shows.
