I agree with him in that article about Megaman ZX. Huge step in the right direction for Megaman fans wanting a new, somewhat refreshed storyline that continues from the "legends" of X and Zero. Unfortunately, the game wasn't very well marketed, and use of the in-game anime videos were very slim.

I agree about Lost Magic. My brother has it and it is awesome. Great game we killed his L button.

Another nod here for Megaman ZX. My personal favorite portable game of the year.

Argh...almost everything on that list has been on my radar to pick up (plus more). I lack the money and time (especially now with Wii games to play as well) to buy and play all of them, but I sure want to!

The jokes always came as a surprise. Every story I read about the game when I came out was "it's not really as much like Earthbound as you think"... well, so what? It's a good game in its own right with only a few problems (problems you'll only run into if you try to completely max out your character and go above and beyond what is required to complete the game). And really, the humor puts it over the top. If you are online and pay attention to the memes and such, the game will sock you with some real zingers and you'll be left saying "were they really referring to X?"

For anyone who has beaten the game... did I screw up by turning the DS off after the credits and everything when I was just sitting there staring at the empty professors lab? I couldn't figure out how to do anything else, and nothing was happening, so I figured that must be the end... but when I loaded my savegame, it will still the place before the final boss, and I thought there was more playing to be had after the final boss is defeated... I had read about special optional bosses that only show up after the game is beaten... how do I get to face them?

i wasn't a big fan of megaman ZX, personally. also LostMagic was overly "meh". contact was decent, but nothing great.

Being a huge Megaman fan, I was super pumped for ZX. Didn't quite live up to my personal hype though. It rocked sure, but I don't think it was as good as some of the old X games. Then again, I'm a Battle Network whore. Star Force can't come soon enough.

I picked up Lost Magic over the weekend. The interactivity of the game is great. I'd love to see more of that style. However the game is freakishly difficult. I'm no stranger to RPGs/ moving little characters around the screen/ capturing monsters, but I typically have to play each scenario like 4 or 5 times before I can beat it. I guess it's a testament to the game that I keep trying. I wish there was a way to tone-down the difficulty though.

I was really really really looking forward to Lost Magic, but it's reception was...less than perfectly warm. It soured me from the full price game. I just got FFIII and Contact for Christmas though, so I set for awhile. Even still, I'd always reccomend Bust-A-Move DS for an awesome puzzler. I've always loved that game, even if it is an oldie...isn't Tetris?

Sorry, Bomberland touch is a POS. Its a RPG type game where "content" is unlocked by playing a bunch of stupid minigames over and over(a la Super Mario 64). At least it tacks on gimped multiplayer bomberman (missing a lot of power ups).

That and Dragon Quest Heroes should not be on that list. Its fun for the first few tank battles but its way too easy and gets way too repetitive.

I have both LostMacgic and Break 'Em All and enjoy both very much. I wasn't too fond of the Magnetica demo I downloaded ay Toys 'R Us, though.
