Have you ever had that dream where you're running down a hallway but are unable to reach the exit because the doorway is constantly stretching out of reach? For fans of Burnout Paradise for the Xbox 360, this has become a waking nightmare, as Criterion has again pushed back the title's forthcoming "Cagney" update until early August.
Criterion is currently "aiming" to release the free update on August 4, nearly a month after the patch arrived on the PS3. However, according to a post on the dev's website, this merely represents the "earliest" that we can expect it to show up. Interestingly, while the previous hold-up was laid at the feet of Xbox Live's burdensome certification process, this latest information indicates that the update, much like the patience of street carnage virtuosos, is now in the "final stages of testing."

Quite whining about free stuff being delayed.
I liked Burnout Paradise. I rented it for 2-3 weeks playing it.
When I heard about the free update and read about all the updates to it (weekly game types like play only certain cars, or unlimited license certain days, etc..) I decided to buy it.
So there, that's why I'm pissed off it's delayed 3 times now.
Physics are tighter, controls seem better.. it is worth bitching about.
But that would be... You know... Stupid...
...Just like these stupid dots...

Waiting several months to play ONE game is a lot better than waiting 2-6 weeks to play any game. Just my opinion though and since this is joystiq, I know it is wrong wrong wrong to voice an honest opinion. Logic checked out years ago and the Flame god of Kalton rules here now.

See SonyFanboys, see how stupid things like this sound?

I'm gonna guess you typed that on your cell phone, right?
MS didn't not only pay Rockstar $50M for exclusive content but brag about it too?
Perhaps PS3 people are saying stupid things in immature ways, but it's not like they've cornered the market on it. And sadly, MS has given us plenty of concrete info to dissuade us from ruling out the idea that MS would throw money around in ways that negatively impact the experience of their competitors' consoles.
Or do you think Rockband 2 is a timed exclusive because they make more money by delaying selling it to a slice of the gaming population?
