Animal Crossing teased in UK's Official Nintendo Magazine
The first time we all saw big headed Mii's strolling around the plaza, we imagine we all had the same thought: Animal Crossing on the Wii is a lock. But here we are, a year-and-a-half after the system's release, and we still haven't gotten to use a Wiimote to rock with KK Slider. However, if we're reading a hint in UK's Official Nintendo Magazine right, the wait may nearly be over.
The magazine's latest issue features a still from the Animal Crossing-verse with the quote "It's been a while! It's time to revisit an old friend. How's your village doing these days?" Is that enough for us to bet on seeing a new Crossing game at E3? Yes. But it should also be known: We're addicted to gambling.

I had no time for both Animal Crossing and Joystiq.

Then I think you should keep playing.
Just kidding.
Maybe.
Having said that, looking forward to this game; hope it's an MMO.

After like 6 months of solid palying I took a long look at what I was doing, which was collecting a bunch of useless items in a game, and just quit cold turkey. Never played since, wont be playing again, this includes new versions, or similar games like the sims and other game where you just grind and grind to collect stuff and dont really play or real have fun.

I dont think smokers are having fun puffing their cigarettes. Just because you do something for a long time to occupy your time does not mean its fun.
I guess I can (re)welcome ANIMAL CROSSING into that world too.

But obviously I'm in the minority.

Being at that level nerdness revokes your rights to speak, seriously.
I should go take care of the weeds at least.

That being said, after the utter crapfest that is Brawl online (calm down folks - the game rules, but the online is horrific), I'm not getting my hopes up for Animal Crossing Wii online. Though Mario Kart Wii was pretty good, I still have to be cautiously pessimistic about AC Wii. Fingers are crossed though!

Also I miss the old NOM, it had a much tastier name.
My complaints for the day are done.

It's just saying "go play your old game," not anything about a new one.
As for me, I got pretty heavily addicted to AC and ACWW. Played the former somewhere between every day and every few days for a year. Got just about everything one can get... then my GC memory card corrupted, and it all went away. I didn't have the heart to start over. ACWW, I played for the requisite year to get all the bugs/fish/trophies, but it doesn't have as much staying value as the original. I hope we see the return of holidays and more ongoing content in the inevitable AC Wii... which again, this image has nothing at all to do with.

Didn't the Gamecube version run entirely in memory once loaded off the disc? If that's the case, surely then ACWii would be a shoe-in as a Wiiware title.

I hope it's sort of like ACGC and ACWW combined; lots more interactions with a lot of events and holidays.
I am a proud Animal Crossing (Gamecube) addict. And I only started a couple of weeks ago. :P
