The Naked Gun intro reborn on Grand Theft Auto IV

Believe it or not, there once was a time when Leslie Nielsen's resumé wasn't pockmarked with terrible, low-budget parody movies. No, the silver-haired comedy legend reached the pinnacle of his career by starring in, well ... fantastic, low-budget parody movies. Those who can recite "Airplane!" verbatim, or can fondly recall the misadventures of Detective Frank Drebin will probably recognize the above Grand Theft Auto IV machinima as the intro sequence for "The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad" (those who don't recognize it can watch the real deal after the break and pretend that they do).

It's an impressive, near shot-for-shot remake of the classic opening credits sequence -- sans the shower room scene, of course. That kind of vulgarity would never be allowed in a Rockstar title.

My bad, I meant to say:

Meaning that Airplane! was fantastic, and his recent movies have been rather terrible, and the Naked Gun movies were decent.

That's awesome. Now all you need is to somehow get a cop car on a boat and have someone in the car while someone else in multiplayer drives the boat. Would cause the same sorta effect.

The original tv series "Police Squad", which is what the movies are based on, are better than the movies, imo.

jesus h christ that was amazing...the sad thing is i bet there are so many people out there that have never seen any of the naked gun movies, especially some of the teeny boppers and kids that had their parents or older siblings/friends by them a copy.

yeah jesus...that was such a good one. might actually knock out naked gun 2 today, dont have much to do anyways...plus the usc marching band is a great cameo. or when they're showing all the bloopers from the game, and after the 2nd baseman gets attacked by the tiger, and the outfielder goes up and gets his head taken off by the ball and the announcer just says "now how bout that!"

Why do American's go M/D/Y? Because of the Declaration of Independence says, JULY 4, 1776. D/M/Y makes much more sense, going from shorter measurement of time to longer. But we had to be different from the English, so there you go...

Pretty sweet, I think the naked gun movies are on marketplace, or at least one of his movies that was good, I own airplane....Fucking awesome movie. Either way I'm going to rent those movies after seeing that.

Agreed that 2001: A Space Travesty and Scary Movie 3 were terrible, moreso the former than the latter though.
