In case you missed it, check out the Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts trailer one more time. Watch closely, especially at the 1:45 mark. Yep, that's an 8-bit Mario in all his planar glory, as both a testament to the user-generated nature of the game as well as we suspect a not-so-subtle nod to their former publishing partner.
[Thanks, Michael]

It's a traditional platformer with a spin to the formula too.
I love platformers when you have to jump a lot and need to be very precise. With ledges and moving platforms, and wall jumps, etc.
Not bashing Ratchet, but Ratchet feels more like an adventure shoter more than a platformer.
Almost all the game is about jumping, and I love that kind of games.
For example, I think N+, Marble Blast Ultra, Mario Galaxy, etc. are more platformers games than Ratchet (not saying Ratchet is a bad game).

Great platformer, not enough exposure.
another similarity with LittleBigPlanet
Rare's doing good with this so far

I would've liked to smack around the Darkness a bit. Just that voice, ugh. Jaaaaackkkkkiiiiiiiiieeee.
He's almost wholly responsible for the War that ends the world, and then for some reason he betrays the side that's fighting for his cause
(both zelda and megaman ones)

Rare stop trying to be cool or look cool and go produce some good games. You haven't earn the right to attack Mario just yet.
This is your last chance to make something decent.

Anyone who thinks otherwise has never really played it.
I think they have earned the right to blow up the head of Mario in one of their trailers.
Looks like someone forgot to mention Banjo-Kazooie and Tooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day (not the terrible, horrible remake), Jet Force Gemini, ANY Donkey Kong Country game (which includes DK64), and Kameo.
Yes, I liked Kameo. Only game Rare's made for MS that reaches the level of their old stuff. Viva Pinata was good too, but...eh.
